Organizations are those objects associated with the activities of object data management. Organizational units are typically associated with the responsibilities of creating, changing, or using data maintained in AssetWise.

Organizational units can be associated with members (persons) in a specific role or even to other organizations.

Like persons, you can add contact information to an organization. Before you can do this, the administrator must define the contact methods under System Admin > Maintain List Values > Directory Type.

When creating an organization, if a system generated organization code is required, the administrator must first define an appropriate numbering mask under System Admin > System Defaults > Identification > Organization Mask.
